I was born and raised in Quincy, IL where I had dreams of becoming an artistic hockey player that dabbles in marine biology in his spare time.
I've been drawing for as long as I can remember and was so excited to hear that I could make a living doing so. In high school I was fortunate enough to have the guidance and criticism of a professional animator who took me under his wing and showed me that there was more to art than doodling on the side of my math homework.
In 2002 I moved to Sarasota, FL to attend Ringling School of Art and Design. Over the next four years I honed my skills to become a working professional in the field of illustration.
After I graduated I got a job at a newspaper, designing advertisements as well as illustrations for some of the town's biggest stories and clients.
In 2007 I married the best and most beautiful person in the world and moved to Texas. Over the next 7 years I worked as an illustrator designing children's art for souvenir products and tee shirts. It was here that I found my passion for children's art.
In 2013 God blessed my wife and I with the coolest little boy I've ever met. After our son was born we moved to Milledgeville, GA where I continue to draw and paint every day. I'm currently working as a freelance illustrator.
